How to report infringement, and how vidsDL responds. We host no media library — but we act on valid notices.
Last updated: July 25, 2026
Our position
vidsDL is a general-purpose tool. It does not host, index, curate or search a catalogue of third-party media. A file exists on our infrastructure only for the minutes it takes to complete a job a user asked for, and is deleted automatically within 24 hours.
We nonetheless act on valid infringement notices, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Sending a notice
Send notices to [email protected] — that mailbox is monitored and is the fastest route. Ask there if you need a postal address for service. To be actionable, a notice must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature, and your contact details.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact URL or job reference on our service that you are complaining about — a general description is not enough for us to act.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
What happens next
We review actionable notices promptly. Where the material is still within its retention window we remove it, and we may block the specific source URL from being processed again. We record the notice and notify the affected user where we can identify them.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed in error, send a counter-notice to [email protected] with your contact details, identification of the material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that attract repeated valid notices are terminated, and the associated payment identity is blocked from re-registering.
Abuse of this process
Knowingly filing a false notice carries liability for damages, including costs and legal fees. We report bad-faith notices to the relevant authorities.
